How to host a pink dinner party

I told you before about the invites I made for my dinner party.  We had that dinner last night and it was a hit!

The pink theme for dinner was definitely a challenge to everyone but I thought we did really well.

Cocktail recipe cards

Entree:

Main: Desiree potato salad with ham and dill, roast chicken with lemon and capers, roast rhubarb with brown sugar

Dessert: bombe alaska with chocolate sponge, raspberry and vanilla ice cream, and pink meringue

We had some fun setting the bombe alaskas alight:

Rum + matches = fun!

Obviously in keeping with the pink theme we had pink champagne, pink cocktails and pink lollies.

I made these cute little glasses for ice cream:

I’ll show you how to make them in another blog entry.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Kx.
